Types and functions of lock tongues
There are many types of lock tongues, the most common of which include:

‌Slant tongue‌: simple in design and easy to operate, commonly found in door locks used in daily life,

‌Square tongue‌: has a square cross-section and is suitable for occasions that require higher security.

Material and standard of lock tongue
The lock tongue is usually made of metal materials such as iron, steel or stainless steel, and has the characteristics of high strength and corrosion resistance. According to the industry standard "Electronic Anti-theft Lock" GA374-2019, the lock tongue needs to be able to withstand the axial static pressure equivalent to an adult pig and the lateral static pressure of the weight of two adult men, and can still work normally under extreme conditions, with the rebound not exceeding half the width of a fingernail. This means that the lock tongue can still ensure that the door is closed and safe under strong wind pressure or accidental impact.
